use bright and dark colours sparingly

Have you ever absolutely loved a paint but realised that it’s just too much for a whole wall? Well, here’s a way to solve that problem. Use your favourite colour on your walls but do so sparingly! One way to do so is by painting a horizontal band across the middle of the wall. In fact, you could even create multiple bands in different thicknesses. Simply mark the thickness you want with painter’s tape, and voilà, you can proceed to paint that wonderful, deep orange or purple colour, you just had to have! Go ahead and unleash the Piet Mondrian in you.
