Located in Kothrud in the cosmopolitan city of Pune, Barometer was envisioned as a benchmark when it came to the design of restaurants and bars. The restaurant opens for breakfast in the mornings and its busiest times are evenings and nights when cocktails, food and black-and-white Chaplin movies take over. Stained in the WoodTech Melamyne finish, the wooden surfaces are a familiar shade, creating a comfortable mood at all times. It also fits well with the narrative of the design approach – of a vintage car – as wood is a material known to age gracefully. During the day, natural light rushes into the interiors through the large windows. It accentuates the concrete finish of Royale Play Archi Concrete on the walls and the Melamyne wood finish of the furniture.
